Teaching Contracts

Teachers sign the standard SAFEA contact with our school as well as an addendum. The addendum is used to modify the terms and conditions of the SAFEA contract, (for example, our school removes the penalty clause for early termination of the contract). Both documents have equal legal weight. Click on this link to download a copy of the Official SAFEA Contract.

Our school does not impose penalties for early termination. We only ask for a forty-five day notice so we can find a replacement and you are free to leave. We think it doesn’t make much sense to have a teacher serve out a contract who isn’t happy here. Teachers who want to be here make good teachers. Teachers who want to leave are free to do so. We think that’s fair.
